Fall fun week came and went so fast! We played fun home room competition games like hiding a pumpkin, bobbing for apples, and door decoration contests. Friday was flannel day. I loved decorating the door with my students the most! #fallfun #teachersofinstagram #teacherlife

Last week @desertchristianschools hosted our annual Veteran’s Day assembly. Rather than take the day off, we like honor America’s veterans by inviting them to join us on campus. We always have a veteran guest speaker and our adorable elementary students sing for us. I cry every year! In the last photo is my own grandpa in the blue shirt who is a Koran War veteran. The elementary students make cards to hand out to all veterans who attend. If you are a vet in the Tucson area, please consider attending next year! #veteransday

Here’s a behind the scenes rehearsal pic of the Mary Poppins musical by @desertchristianschools ! I’ve had been having SO MUCH FUN photographing our students prepare a show that is Broadway quality! There are still three more shows available to see: today at 2 PM and at 7 PM, and tomorrow at 2 PM. #marypoppins

Pre season mock trial tournament is a wrap! Ask any student of mock trial if they think it’s a sport and they’ll tell you HECK YES! It’s a battle of wits and by the end of the day the students are so mentally tired that they’ll crash on the couch for hours. I wish all classes could be structured for learning the way mock trial is: problem based, student led, learning. #mocktrial #pbl
