SALT (senior attitude and leadership training) hike 2021 with @desertchristianschools complete! I have so many pictures that I’ll have to make a second post. This annual, 17 mile hike from the top of Mount Lemmon down tests the mental, physical, and spiritual strength of students and chaperones alike. How does one lead, or follow, in times of difficulty? Will you ask God for help when your body screams for relief and your mind wants to give up? Will you depend on no one but yourself? I’ve missed some serious quality time with students this past year, but at least I’m still feeding my social studies/teacher soul by reading voraciously. Not only do I just dog gone LOVE historical books, but they also further develop my understanding of the past and of human nature.
