Episode 15 of i.nspiration e.ducation! (link in bio) Inspirational teachers should consider the depth at which their students can demonstrate their learned knowledge. The depth of their understanding can vary from a basic understanding, e.g., memorize vocabulary words, to the highest depths, such as the critique of academic sources or the connection of thematic patterns. At these high levels, students are using what they have learned in alternative academic and real-world contexts. The first farmer's market (led by the middle school students) was a HIT!!! There were so many people I couldn't believe my eyes. In minutes most of the goodies were gone! i.nspiration e.ducation episode #14 is up! (link in bio) This episode of i.e. challenges our education colleagues to make their lesson plans memorable. In this case, our students are learning by wrestling! Our Bible teacher, Pastor Kyle, put his students in the shoes of Jacob (from the Bible) so that they could better understand what it was like for Jacob to wrestle with God all through the night. This specific lesson has been taught at our school for at least 15 years, and we guarantee every student who has ever attended remembers this lesson vividly!

Super great day today! Took my mock trial teams to the @pima_county courthouse to watch the morning calendar and a criminal case, get a behind the scenes tour and Q&A with Judge Bryson and Judge Griffin, and practice our own trial in an actual courtroom.
